Introduction
I have received my B.Sc degree from Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Bilecik Seyh Edebali University, Turkey. Because the field of bioinformatics has attracted my interest since my second-year undergraduate education, I did my internships in this field. This experince provided me with a nice opportunity to integrate my biology background with computer science.
I am currently a master student at Bioinformatics and Systems Biology program at Department of Bioengineering at Gebze Technical University.

My master thesis project is titled “ Reconstruction and transcriptome-based analysis of rat brain-specific genome-scale metabolic network model for Parkinson’s disease”. Along with this study, my aim is to reconstruct a rat brain-specific Genome-Scale Metabolic Model (GEMs) and to perform transcriptome-based analysis on reconstructed rat GEMs for Parkinson’s disease by using different constraint based methods.
